How is that possible?? ;) That's the thing when you are going away during the growing season - it can be a pain to deal with the veg both before go away and after you return. I was a harvesting machine in the past couple of days, but everything went into the fridge so I now need to deal with the blanching, freezing, roasting, etc.. Oh and that lobster stew sounds incredible. My son ate lobster for the first time on our trip and loved it (no surprise there!). Just hope he is not expecting it to show up on the dinner plate at home anytime soon ;)Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-50907831900845247532015-09-22T11:43:48.198-04:002015-09-22T11:43:48.198-04:00The seeds came from Baker Creek, purchased at thei...The seeds came from Baker Creek, purchased at their spring festival in CT. I'm looking forward to a vacation from the garden and tomatoes tomatoes tomatoes and now peppers galore. A couple more weeks... The Arroz con Pollo looks like a baccatum pepper. My baccatums often get those small leaves at the tops of the plants, I'm not sure why. They aren't always great producers but I think they're some of the most flavorful peppers, almost always worth the effort.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-60172329727014270342015-09-21T17:15:49.453-04:002015-09-21T17:15:49.453-04:00The weeds can wait a day or two while you relax (t...The weeds can wait a day or two while you relax (they'll still be there whenever you are ready!). Culinary terms are different everywhere so I had to look up what a popover is. They look like the British yorkshire pudding but that would be served with gravy, and not jam.

Any time I go to the east coast (usually Halifax for me), I bring home lobster.
