I need to learn about the Spigariello too, since I am growing it this year. It's looking good, but no signs of any head or side shoots, just lots of leaves with a little curl to them. It's pretty plant for sure.Dave @ HappyAcreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03441364543023807886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-27268067773313697992016-07-10T13:21:04.428-04:002016-07-10T13:21:04.428-04:00I definitely agree on the broccoli, I certainly ha...I definitely agree on the broccoli, I certainly haven't had any plants produce enough for the amount of space they take up. So no more for me after this season.

Everything looks so good. I love the picture where I can see more of your setup, you have a great spot!Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354350096358468967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-86902935064520236762016-07-09T12:50:17.803-04:002016-07-09T12:50:17.803-04:00Your garden is looking great! The Arcadia I grew last year gave me probably 6x the quantity of broccoli from the side shoot production vs the main heads, which were all on the small side. And the bonus was that the side shoots produced over several months so it was a nice, steady harvest over a long period.

I'm growing a few of the same varieties including Lemon Drop peppers. After hearing so much about their flavour, I really hope they end up maturing in time.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-69851181600360322312016-07-09T11:25:55.162-04:002016-07-09T11:25:55.162-04:00The Spigariello should start forming a small "...The Spigariello should start forming a small "head" and side shoots at some point, which you cut when they look like raab, or just harvest the leaves as you would kale. It's really all about the leaves and not the heads. Too bad about the broccoli, it may have stunted if it didn't get adequate water when the weather got hot. The rest of your veggies sure look great!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-51920190031861551302016-07-08T16:17:03.842-04:002016-07-08T16:17:03.842-04:00Your tomato and pepper plants are looking good. And your onions are swelling nicely.

I've had trouble with spring planted broccoli as well, maybe a fall planting would do better. I think Daphne mentioned that broccoli leaves were one of her favorite greens.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6125578595363888138.post-9393684631282952262016-07-08T15:47:19.975-04:002016-07-08T15:47:19.975-04:00Re the Lemon Drop chillis: I think this is the sam...Re the Lemon Drop chillis: I think this is the same as the Aji Limon which I grow. They are always the last to produce mature fruit, but worth the wait.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.com
